Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda on Wednesday said that he would not use the newly bought vehicle worth 1.3 million dollars since it was purchased without informing him.
He complained that the vehicle was purchased without his information and that he knew about it only after the media covered news on it.
Nepali Congress and other parties’ supporters and activists have begun a campaign that Prachanda, who led the decade-long Maoist insurgency, is now crazy for luxuries.
However, the prime minister stressed that certain prejudiced and politically motivated elements of bureaucracy have made deliberate attempts to defame him.
Prime Minister Prachanda asked his office to let the car be used by either the President or other top persons.
