Provincial Minister for Special Education, Sohail Afzal has said that special persons can not only be made self-reliant by providing them technical education but would also be able to help their parents.
He said this while talking to the representatives of media during a function held in connection with international day of disabled at Children Library Complex, here today. Secretary Special Education Soahil Masood, Project Director Robina Tariq Jillani, President All Pakistan Private Schools Welfare Association Syed Zulqarnain Shah were also present on the occasion.
The Minister said that there is a need of changing the social behaviours with regard to special persons. He said that instead of neglecting them we should play our due role for making them useful citizens of the society. He said that we should love them and take them along us. He said that every possible steps are being taken for the welfare of the special persons.
The special children presented various programmes which were highly lauded by the audience. Later, the Minister inspected various sections of department of Special Children at Children Library Complex. The Minister said that setting up of department for special children in Children Complex is a useful step which will not only provide recreational facility to the special children but also provide them information.
