Quality Circle (QC) is a small group of employees in the same work area or involving similar type of works, who voluntarily meet, regularly for about one to two hours every week to identify, analyze and discuss work-related problem, leading to improvement in their performance and enrichment of their work-life.
PLANNING FOR QUALITY CIRCLE:
Top management awareness plays an important role in planning for quality circle. Management can appoint a person to look after QC activities. He should have previous experience of QC processes.
Applying for certificate and literature to QCFI is the first step. QC person involves in the formation of structure, registration formalities, meeting and evaluation, reports etc. Prepare training schedule, conducting training, arrangement of meetings etc. Taking feedback from employees, presentations, evaluation, appraisal, record maintenance, introducing innovative and creative ideas and continuing it is important steps to apply QC.

QC can be implemented easily with help of QC tools like brainstorming, Ishikawa cause, data collection, Pareto analysis and effect diagram, Line graph etc.
