A small bomb went off at a Starbucks on the Upper East Side in NYC, on the corner of 92nd and 3rd ave early Monday morning. The store was closed at the time and there were no injuries reported. There was minimal damage to the exterior of the store including shattered windows. However, the interior of the store remains intact.
There was no note left with the bomb and there are no witnesses or apparent motive for the attack known. Thus far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack , but there are a few leads being investigated from footage obtained by the store surveillance camera.
There has been a recent uptick in attacks on Starbuck stores around the world to protest the chain’s global footprint.
