No more teams to pull out of F1, predicts massa
Honda will be the only team to pull out of the formula one world championship next season, Ferrari’s felipe Massa said. Honda, citing the global financial crisis, said last week it was quitting the sport and time is running out to find a buyer for next year.
Media have speculated that othe terms could also cease to operate but brazilian mass, runner -up to mclaren’s lewis hamilton in the world championship this year, believes it is unlikely.
"I dont think so, at least not next season. The economic crisis is very serious but the situation can only improve," He told Friday’s Gazzetta dello sport. "in any case, Ihope someone can buy honda, may be even a brazillian firm. It would be very interesting to see a Brazilian team with Brazilian drivers in F1." Massa was sorry for honda’s Brazillian driver Rubens Barrichello.

cops asks BCCI to take action against zaheer khan
The chennai city police has shot off a letter to BCCI Seeking neccessary action against Indian medium pacer Zaheer khan for shouting at police officers who were discharging their duty at the hotel where the indian cricket team is staying. The letter addressed to BCCI secretary N Srinivasan has been written by police commissioner K Radhakrishnan, based on a report submitted by M Pandian, deputy Commissioner of police, Anna nagar, the officer in charge of hotel security arrangements for the players.
"we have brought the incident to the knowledge of BCCI for appropriate action against zaheer khan, action they deem fit," Radhakrishnan has told the times of india. The police commissioner told that he dont want to go in deep on zaheer khans behavious as he already had given letter to bcci.
According to sources, Zaheer khan behaved in a highhanded manner with Pandian who has been exclusively deputed to over see security of players at the hotel. On tuesday afternoon, Pandian and police personnel on duty stopped Thiru Kumaran, A former cricket player, at hotel lobby from proceeding further. Zaheer khan then shouted at the police officials that they have no authorities to stop his friend from meeting him.
No need for Indian cricket team to go to Pakistan:Gill
India’s sports minister Manohar Singh Gill had assured that there is no need for indian team to go to pakistan for playing the cricket series there. Gill had given a statement that "Behind the mumbai attacks, pakistan has very firm support .According to me, one team from pakistan comes to india to kill the innocent people and on other hand our team at the same time goes to play the series in pakistan, this is not possible in any ways." Then he added that "This is not the right time to play in pakistan because all the things related to terrorrism are carried out in pakistan, Pakistan has to assure us that they will really bring the end of terrorism in the world and then only we will send our team to play there." as the subject of sports is very essential in maintaining the relations of the country.
Kapil seeks pension for ICL cricketers
Former india captain Kapil dev on friday Lambasted the BCCI for neglecting former cricketers and pleaded before the Delhi High Court that it should be asked to realese the pensions to him and his cricketers who joined the indian cricket league(ICL).
He made the submission while appearing before registrar of delhi high court pawan kumar jain for being cross examined by the BCCI on the allegations levelled by him against the board for allegedly taking punitive action against him and his ICL colleagues. The former allrounder alleged that BCCI was neglecting the former cricketers who served the nation and was taking punitive action by stopping their pension and other post-retirement benefits by the BCCI.
