Sterling Hayden and Julia Child are just 2 famous names among many who’s names were released by the CIA today as being former spies.
Today the National Archives released 35,000 previously top-secret files of spies from the World War II era. There are over 750,000 documents which detail the spy network ran b the Office of Strategic Services or the OSS.
Chef Julia Child and actor Sterling Hayden, were also joined by agents such as, baseball player Moe Berg, Supreme Court Justice Arthur Goldberg, the son of Ernest Hemingway, and sons of President Theodore Roosevelt.
For the few former OSS member still alive, the release of these files are a big relief. After years of being told to keep their past secrets, they can finally tell friends and family about their lives as OSS spies.
