Sufi asks Fazlullah to lay down arms, announces peace rallies across Swat

Chief of Tehrik-e-Nafaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi (TNSM) Maulana Sufi Muhammad Tuesday while welcoming the approval of the Nizam e Adl Regulations by the National Assembly has asked the rebel cleric Maulana Fazlullah to lay down arms and stop putting resistance after Swat peace deal.

            Talking to local media in Mingora, Swat District, he has complete faith in government efforts for implementation of Adl regulation in Malakand Division. In his message he urged Maulana Fazlullah who is also his son in law to give up militancy so that to avoid wasting sacrifices he and his companions offered for Nifaz e Shariat. 

He extended full support to Pakistan Army and said now we will back government. Maulana Sufi said he would visit all district to take people into confidence and announced to hold peace rallies across the Swat district.

The TNSM head was confident while saying that Adl regulation would ensure peace and harmony in the district and there would be total protection to life and property of the people.

He said, Qazis eligible for the post in the light of the Quran and Sunnah

would be allowed to take the responsibilities with regard to quick dispensation of justice. He said that there would be no bar on the women in the performance of their duties but in accordance with sharia.

            The TNSM Chief said he would hold rallies in parts of the district for the maintenance of peace and to inform the people about the benefits of the adl regulations.
