Husband, wife receive burn injuries
A lady (name with held) of Gunj Lalpora, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Beerwah, Budgam sprinkled kerosene oil over her body and set herself ablaze. Her husband tried to rescue her, but both of them suffered burn injuries. Both were hospitalized. Police has registered a case in this regard.
Arms, ammunition recovered in Handwara
Handwara Police and 29 RR recovered arms and ammunition during search operation in the forest area of Drangsoo, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Qalamabad, Handwara, which was kept there by militants. Body recovered in Anantnag
Mohammad Ashraf Khatana son of Nazir Ahmad resident of Danipora was found dead in suspicious condition under Bidihar Bridge of Nallah Brengi near Dewatering Pump Station, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Larnoo, Anantnag. After completing all legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites. Inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated.
