Kathmandu 19, 2009: 9 cases of Swine Flu (H1N1 Flu) have been reported at the OM Nursing Home and Research Center, Chabhali, Kathmandu where further tests are going on to confirm the infection. Though the governmental agencies are yet to confirmed the news but according to the inside source all the patients have the symptoms of the epidemic and are relatively isolated and kept in a separate ward.
“The patients have fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue,” said the source. The sources also confirmed that the hospital staff and the doctors have taken preventive measures while treating the patients where further tests are going on to confirm the epidemic.
With the terror of the H1N1 Virus ravaging a dozen lives in neighboring country India, Nepal seems pretty silent and unprepared for the disease. Moreover, the government seems to be least bothered about the epidemic and if the situation persisted then the disease posses a serious threat for the lives of normal public.
