The Syrian armed forces continued its advances in the Northern province of Aleppo and regained control over three more strategic areas in the region, according to a Fars news agency report published on Saturaday.
“The army units took control of Al-Jabaliyeh village, a cement factory and a strategic government building in the Northern parts of the Aleppo Central Prison after striking heavy blows on the positions of the militant groups there,” informed military sources.
According to the sources, the army killed at least 10 militants and injured dozens more in the clashes, while others were forced to flee the battlefield.
On Wednesday, the Syrian army troops “captured Kfar Najad village” in a series of fierce running gun battles aimed at cutting the last supply route of the US backed foreign militants in Aleppo. These militants are accused of committing all sorts of atrocities, including, but not limited to ransacking churches, executing captured Syrian soldiers and beheading civilians suspected of being Christians.
