In loving memory of Mani Kaul, Mahmood Dhaulpuri, Juliano Mer-Khamis & M F Husain Cinemela, MohallahLive and Bargad has organized ‘The Cinemela Festival’ 2011 at the JNU Campus, New Delhi.
IN Focus: This year Cinemela is focusing on Films of Iran with Arab and North Africa.
ENTRY: There is NO ENTRY FEE
Filmmakers are requested to send a short note on “Why I make films”
No bar on numbers of entries and length or theme of the films.
Films can be short, documentaries, experimental, animation, musical, in fact, anything.
Festival Schedule: September,2011
Submission: Entries must reach on or before 20th August, 2011
Submission Format –only DVD (two copies of each entry)
Language Condition: Films must be sub-titled in English
Filmmakers are requested to enclose a ‘Brief synopsis’ of the film/films, their CV with recent photograph, details of crew and a declaration of participation
Enclosed documents: all documents should be in A4 paper size
Cinemela reserves the right on submitted films, films will remain with the Cinemela Festival and a collection of films from the festival will be screened at other campuses and places.
certification : The certificate of participation will be issued to all participants.
The films screened in the festival will not be returned.
Those who want their films be ‘returned’ should send Rs 300 (inside India) / $15 (outside India) as the cost of packing and postage (as cheque/demand draft payableto Cinemela’s Prakash Kumar Ray and payable at Delhi/New Delhi

All are requested to contribute generously since the festival does not accept any corporate or commercial sponsorship. A little contribution will be a great boost for effort.
