The Democratic National Committee’s newest weapon against presumed GOP nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona comes in the form of a website. On Monday, May 19, the DNC has launched a website known as the “McCainPedia.” This is the newest anti-McCain website that has been launched.
This is just like a Wikipedia. But, this one focuses around McCain. This is focused on posting up research to be used as ammunition against John McCain in the general election race. The McCainPedia is just like the Wikipedia, where members of the general public can upload their own information. However, they would not be able to change or manipulate the information.
Only members of the DNC staff have permission to make changes to the information. In short, the DNC is depending on the general public and critics of McCain to upload their own information on McCain. The research on McCain ranges from a broad selection of topics. This looks to be an attempt to stockpile information against McCain.
Howard Dean, the DNC Chair said that millions of people let alone voters would be able to look at McCain’s record in the US Senate. While the Republican National Committee (RNC) focuses on Democratic co-frontrunner Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, the DNC is stepping up its attacks against McCain.
So far, the RNC has launched the site called “CanWeAsk.com” which is their latest weapon against Obama. The McCainPedia is pretty much the DNC’s answer to the RNC’s latest weapon.
This could be foreshadowing that the chance of Democratic co-frontrunner Senator Hillary Clinton of New York being able to clinch the Democratic nomination is grim. Still, Clinton has refused to drop out of the Democratic race. But, it looks as if the RNC is not paying much attention to Clinton.
It may seem that the RNC believes that Obama looks to be the eventual Democratic nominee. There is the strong possibility that it will be McCain vs. Obama in the general elections.
