There are many unanswered questions about the Holy Grail.
Is the Holy Grail truly the cup used by Jesus Christ and his disiples to distribute Jesus blood to establish a new “Christian” covenant, and ritual to be practiced?
Where is this cup today and why has it not as yet surfaced for the world to see and know that it is safe?
If so, does the cup hold any particular God-like powers, like immortality, or curative powers? Or, Is it just a simple cup?
If this is true, then why did not Peter or one of the other apostles take it with him, in order to preserve the cup and re-use it?
Why did Jesus not instruct one of the apostles to safeguard the cup for future use?
One would think that at least one of the apostles would recognize the significance of protecting such a cup, realizing that their teacher, the Messiah was requesting even commanding them to continue the ritual performed at the “Last Supper” by Jesus.
Is the Holy Grail symbolic as suggested by Dan Brown in “The Divinci Code” symbolizing the fact that Mary Magdelene was the wife of Jesus and carried his child?
Dan Brown tries to convince us that if you look at the table in Divinci’s Last Supper there is no cup on the table when infact there are several glasses or cups of wine visible.
Dan Brown is correct in his assumption that the apostle to Jesus (right) is Mary Magdelene, and why not, she too is an apostle of Jesus, and according to several of the other unincluded “Gospels” she is favored by Jesus for her apostolic works and her devotion. Furthermore, if Dan Brown’s assumption is correct and Mary Magdelene is the wife of Jesus, would not her place be at his side?
We know little to nothing about the life of Jesus, from the time he stays behind at the temple at the age of 12, up to his baptism by John the Baptist and the commencement of Jesus holy ministry. Some believe he may have travelled to North America, others believe to Asia, but none of this can be confirmed.
Back in the time of Jesus, it was customary for parents to arrange marriages for their children, and in most cases by the age of about 14 it was customary for a boy and a girl to be promised in marriage, even married. Who knows, this might have been the case, Jesus and Mary Magdelene might have been betrothed by their parents. There is no proof for or against such speculation.
Some might argue that Jesus knowing he was the son of God maybe would not allow for such an arrangement, but let’s face it, Almighty God decided to impregnate a human woman, Mary, so that Jesus could come into this world in the form of man.
Therefore it is not inconceivable to consider the possibility that Jesus as a human, takes a wife.
It is safe to believe that God, in order to present Jesus as one to be believed and accepted, would permit Jesus to take a wife.
It is further possible that Mary Magdelene conceived a child with Jesus.
We do know for certain that Mary Magdelene was an apostle, and very close to Jesus, so it is not far fetched to believe them to be husband and wife.
If as suggested by Dan Brown, it is not the cup used for the sharing of the wine, then why has the Roman Catholic Church gone to such lengths to hide and obscure the truth?
What truth is the Church afraid of uncovering?
We know that Jesus is actually referring to himself as the “Rock” upon which he is building his church, not Peter. It is the Roman Catholic Church that sets Peter up as the founder of Christianity, not Jesus. It is the Catholic church that names Peter as its first “Pope” some 340 years after the start of Christianity which begins with Jesus the “Christ”, the “Messiah”. Yes Peter plays a part in the beginning of Christianity, but it is a small part, barely worth mentioning.
If any one man, other than Jesus himself should be attributed with having put Christianity on the map and helping it to grow into the church it is today it should be Paul whom Jesus turns into thee most dedicated of apostles of the time. Though Paul starts out as a Pharisee who persucuted the early followers and even killed them, Jesus converts Paul into his strongest and most dedicated apostle. The proof of this is in the writings of the New Testament, following the holy Gospels.
Is it a possibility that the Catholic Church in an effort to cover up the birth of Jesus child was and is also covering up the fact that Jesus was married?
If so why the cover up?
We do know for a fact that there are several “Gospels” including the Gospel of Mary Magdelene that did not make it into the Bible of today, such as the Gospel of Phillip, the Gospel of Judas Iscariot, just to name a couple. One might ask oneself, why is there no “Gospel of Peter, or maybe a Gospel of Jesus himself.
Since the modern day Holy Bible is based upon the original King James Version of the Bible, there is a great possibility that the Bible commissioned under King Constantine who just happened to be a “Pagan” and the King James Version disagreed.
The Catholic church tries to portray Mary Magdelene as a prostitute. This cannot further from the truth, and cannot be substantiated. There is no biblical scripture to support this acqusation.
The Catholic church points toward the woman caught in adultery, whom the town’s people sought to stone, as being Mary Magdelene, but the truth is, the bible does not name the woman, and even in those days, the people recognized the difference in terminology between a prostitute working for money, and a woman committing adultery with some other woman’s husband.
The Bible tells us that Mary had been demon posessed, and that Jesus cures her.
So therefore the question remains unanswered is the Holy Grail a missing cup? Or, Is it symbolic of the fact that Jesus and Mary were married and that the grail actually symbolically refers to Jesus child and the secret that Jesus though God has a human lineage somewhere alive upon earth, yet to be revealled?
I don’t have the answers, but my heart of hearts wants to believe that since God comes to man in human form through Jesus and since Jesus was to experience the complete experience of being human inorder to fulfill all scripture, then Jesus must have married as a part of being human.
