Poetry From The Heart
A lost child perceives God’s light
rewarding faith and absolute delight.
There’s no fear in knowing Him
He grants faith, hope and love within.
God doesn’t scold or cause angst in hearts
His spirit lives within keeps us ready to depart.
We’re innocent children born into sin
His spirit nudges souls as they’re spread thin.
We learn to walk and talk as we grow in Him
His word teaches us how to be a good friend.
We’ll fail and plunge in traps unseen in life
He’ll dust us off and allow us to keep up a fight.
We’re like a stream running off course
we must keep our senses to move forth.
Don’t fear God’s gentle hand or guiding light
He’ll not bring fear and disillusion into our lives.
God desires to nurture and to feed our souls
He’ll watch us sow seeds to make us whole.
Cynic’s try putting apprehension in our minds
God’s love captures our spirit and feeds the blind.
He’s gentle as a lamb and knows our hearts
He knew us when we were a thought in the dark.
Take His hand and don’t be afraid to walk with Him
He’s beside us from the beginning to the end.
God’s the master of all and the omnipotent one
not a person who’ll degrade or makes us feel shunned.
He’ll never reprimand or turn us away from Him
His intention is to be there for you and I dear friend.
