Many people ask, “Does anyone know the exact time of Christ’s coming?” When Jesus left the earth, he left “no” doubt that he would come again to complete his mission of salvation of mankind; and in the Holy Bible, King James Version, and in John 14:1-4, God’s word tells people, “Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God believe in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
People God’s word was not written to deceive or paint a picture of doom and gloom or to frighten people but to make them aware that he will return as he tells us in Acts 1:10-11, God’s word tells people, “That Jesus did indeed rise up and into the clouds to leave people staring at him. And while they looked steady toward heaven, Jesus went upward as two men stood by them in white apparel; and they said, ‘you men of Galilee, why stand and gaze up into the heaven?’ This same man called Jesus, which rose up and was taken away from people to heaven, will come in like manner just as people have seen him go to heaven.”
When I read this my heart pounded with joy because I knew that one day I would definitely come face to face with my Savior to be with him in heaven. The Bible tells people in Luke 21: 27, 28, “And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption dwells nigh.”
People might ask, how visible will Jesus’ coming be? People the Bible says in Matthew 24: 27, “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so will also the coming of the Son of man be.”
Who do people believe they will see Jesus when he returns? It’s written in God’s word that even those who pierced him will see him; here’s what God’s word says in Revelation 1:7, “Jesus will come with the clouds; and every eye will see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindred’s of the earth will wail because of him; and ‘even so, A-men’”.
Jesus tells people in his word, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, he also tells them, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”
People it’s my opinion God will come when people lest expect his arrival just as his word instructs and many will be frightened and not know exactly what is happening because they’ve not read God’s word and they do not know of his teachings. I hope that if just one person who hasn’t read God’s word will read this and take heed and prepare for his coming. God’s word is written in truths and many things in the Bible have already come to past in the world.
People should not be fooled by God’s second coming because his word warns people of this in the Bible in 2 Peter 3: 10, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the element will melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
People often ask others will there be warnings before Christ’s second coming? The Bible plainly tells people in Matthew 24: 23-26, “Then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it or not. For there will be false Christ’s, and false prophets, and will show great signs and wonders: insomuch that, if it were possible, they will deceive the very elect. Behold I’ve told you before. Wherefore if they will say unto you, behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. ”
It’s my opinion that if people do not know about Jesus and his word, they’re not going to be prepared to face false Christ’s and false prophets and be prepared for Jesus’ second coming. People procrastinate and believe they have all the time in the world but none of them know when Jesus will return to take his people home. Many people say, “Oh they’ve been saying, ‘Jesus is coming back for years now and he hasn’t shown up yet?’” I ask people to think about what the Bible tells them in Matthew 24:42, “Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord will come.”
This is certainly not a scare tactic on the part of this writer but a reminder to “all people” they should be prepared for Jesus’ return.
Jesus warns people in the Bible and in Luke 21:34-36, “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth? Watch, you therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the son of man.”
There are people who may wonder…why is Jesus coming back? In the Bible and in Hebrews 9:28, it tells people exactly why Jesus is coming back…”So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him will he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
The Bible in 1 Corinthians 1: 7-8 it tells people who have believed in him and accepted him as their Lord and Savior will, “So that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
I pray that this article clears up questions about the Second Coming of Jesus; it came from God’s word and was written from my own perspectives about his word.
