White males in the United States have disproportionately been innovators, creators, inventors, and synthesizers of new industries. They propelled the growth of middle-class jobs in the United States.
It’s claimed that white males have something called white male privilege, that they have privileges that they have not earned. White males are the only group of individuals in the United States that can be legally discriminated against. White males can be verbally castigated on university campuses just for being white males. I believe what this has led to is white males not being as connected to the United States, that is, they no longer create good middle-class jobs in the U.S., as they once did. They create jobs overseas. India and China have been the recipients of this middle-class job feast. The former middle-class in the United States now waxes nostalgically as it sees the middle-class growth in other countries. Canada and Germany don’t offshore jobs; they don’t discriminate against white males
An interesting factor is that in Nazi Germany prior to 1935, the country led in the number of Nobel Prize recipients. After 1935, the anti-Semitism and discrimination of the Jewish people decimated Germany’s sciences.
If you discriminate against any one group, you then lose whatever special gift it contributes to society. If African-Americans were still discriminated against in the United States, would 65% of the National Football League players be African-American? One fact that nobody’s brought forward is diversity in the NFL.
