Karachi: Thousands protested in the streets of Pakistan against the conviction of a Pakistani scientist by the U.S jury.
A U.S jury convicted a Pakistani scientist, Dr. Afia Siddiqui, of trying to kill U.S servicemen in Afghanistan during the interrogation.
A jury in New York found Afia Siddiqui gulity, a 37 year old mother, a neuroscientist trained at Massachusetts institute of Technology.
In Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi thousands came to the streets and protested against the American jury’s conviction and chanted slogans against America.
The mother of three kids, a Pakistani scientist, was accused of trying to gun down U.S servicemen while being interrogated by the Americans at an Afghan Police Station.
The protestors also demanded the release of her two kids, presumend to be in the custody of American troops in Afghanistan.
