ever observed how most of us are always stuck in a time warp… i mean everyone wants the time that they dont have in front of them…
kids want to grow up quick so they can have their freedom
kids in kindergarten want to be in primary so they can have better benches
kids in primary school want to be in middle school so they can be nominated for captaincy
kids in middle school want to be in high school so they can have their ‘flings’
kids in high school want to be in college so they can have their freedom
people in college want to work so they can have their own money
people who’ve just started working want to get a higher position so that they can make more money
old people want to grow older to retirement where they dont have anything to do
and at this point, people go into the reverse gear…
people in retirement wish they were younger when they could work and not worry about whether their next pension cheque will cash or not
old people in high posts at work want to be younger and be able to enjoy the ‘no responsibilities’ phase of their life
people who’ve just started working miss their college life so much that money doesnt matter anymore
people in college are sick of projects, attendance and assignments and want to be back in school for the simplicity of life
kids in high school are sick of trigonometry and algebra and wish they were in middle and primary school where they had only arithematic
kids in middle and primary school wish they were in kindergarten where they had only half a day of school including a nice long nap
i should have probably put this down in first person…
why is this dissatisfaction… why am i always living looking forward to future or reminiscing about the past… why does the present never appeal to me?
hope is always needed in life… but always hoping and never living the present is also cheating urself… i’ll not be justifying living now… not be taking in the entire joy of what the present has to give me… and hence, having poured it all now, i’m resolving now… get the hell of the bloody time warp… take life as it comes… stop reminiscing… past is gone… and stop dreaming about future… what should happen will happen… u cant halt destiny… so off to live my ‘present’
