CHITRAL: Due to heavy snowfall and continue rain main of Chitral have blocked at Lawari top for all type of vehicular traffic. But during the snowfall some passengers were coming from Dir to Chitral who were restrained on the top of Lawari pass in snowfall. Hence Tehsil Nazim Chitral Sartaj Ahmad Khan timely motivated Chitral police and district administration as a result police staff of Ashriat Police post took part in rescue operation and success to recover safely 16 persons including 3 children and 6 women on Monday but one Australian and a Chitrali passengers still were stuck up at Lawari top due to snowfall. DPO Chitral Jafar Khan detailed cob of Ashriat police post who success to recover Mr. Mtthew of Australia and an other local passenger who were shifted to police post Ashriat their condition is telling. It is worth to mention here that land route of Chitral connecting Chitral to Dir is blocked at Lawari pass while road link to Northern Areas Gilgit is block at Shundur Pass due to heavy snowfall.
Man committed suicides.
CHITRAL: A man committed suicide by jumping in Chitral River dead body recovered by volunteers and local police. According to SHO police station Drosh Ihsanullah resident of Jinjirat koh jumped into Chitral river and lost his life. Hence dead body of suicide person recovered from the river and was handed over to his family. Drosh police lodged report by registering a case in this regard and started further investigations. Reasons behind this suicide case could not ascertained.
Compensation demanded for bereaved family of Martyred constable Waheedullah.
Constable Wahidullah son of Shah Afzal resident of Attakey village who was embraced to martyr on Monday by a suicide bomber when he was checking a suspected person inside a Rickshaw during checking the terrorist blown up himself as a result constable Wahidullah and 2 civilian persons were died on the spot. Wahidullah has joined police force recently who was a young and energetic person. He was first cousin of Gul Hamaad Farooqi APP correspondent Chitral. He left one widow, 1 small daughter and 3 little sons. Social and political circle of the area have appeal the federal and provincial government for compensating the bereaved family of martyred Wahidullah.
