All human beings want to be happy. Whatever they do, their aim is to seek happiness. Happiness is often related to money and relationships. It is true that if we have sufficient money and good relations, life will be happy.
However, sometimes even if we have abundant wealth we lack happiness. Happiness largely depends on our mind. In other words we can live happily even when we don’t have money and good relationships.
This is possible if we have absolute control over our minds.
Life is full of uncertainty. We are happy when we become wealthy, famous and make a name in society. What happens when we have financial problems, health problems, problems with our relationships or if we experience defamation; we are confused, stumble and get struck with panic and sorrows.
When we reach a peak, we should learn to enjoy it to the fullest. At the same time should learn to manage a valley as well. A peak will not last for ever. Therefore enjoy it fully. Similarly a valley is not going to last for ever. How can we manage a valley? We must understand that every valley teaches us a lesson. In analyzing what caused the depression and taking appropriate steps to climb out of those depths should teach us how to avoid getting into those turbulent situations. So we learn to enjoy the challenges of the valley. We can try our best with our positive efforts to make the valley as shallow as possible.
Of course peak is an excitement but we cannot hope to continuously exist in it.
It is true that for some people the peaks are longer and for others the valleys are.
Let us learn to enjoy the peaks with happiness and manage the valleys with courage. So welcome the sorrow with a smile. We need that too to keep our life interesting.
