Barbara’s Poetry From The Heart Corner
I lay under an oak tree
autumn leaves whizz by to flee
a mockingbird perched on a branch
chirps tunes…causes me to dance.
I whirl; jump and boogie around
use a clump of greenery as a crown.
I swing left and then right…
not realizing it is night.
Who’s afraid of the dark?
I’ve camped in the park.
I love tweets from birds, sounds never heard…
trampling of feet of a deer herd.
Life when exploring the earth
pick wild flowers and whiff aged dirt.
Watch colorful leaf kayaks
sail downstream…wild geese quacks.
See the sun slide down calling it a night
wait morning’s dazzling sunlight.
God gave us a magnificent place
causes smiles to grace our face.
I lay under an oak tree
falling off leaves whizz by to flee…
I inhale Mother Earth through my veins
exhaling a love for life and God.
