Four months after the twelfth General Election which saw the National Front Coalition badly bruised, things are still boiling in the capital city.
There are defamation suits, charges of sodomy, statutory declarations and many more charges that demanded lawyers attention. Surely, this is their payday.
Among the ‘ hot cases’ are the defemation suit brought against the former deputy Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, by none other than the Inspector General Of Police, Musa Hassan.
Today there are two more libel charges against that raging blogger, Raja Petra Kamaruddin. One was brought against him by the wife of the Deputy Prime Minister, Rosmah Mansor. They are seeking damages in terms of millions of RM.
With all these charges and counter-charges, our courts seemed to be always full. Those officers of our judiciary are very busy indeed.
Guess, who are in real great demand these days -our lawyers.
There will be more suits and charges in the days to come. So, to all our lawyers, Happy Days!
