Once again the Talk Show Queen Oprah Winfrey wants to lose weight and the first step she wants to initiate towards this is stopping of ‘yo-yo’ dieting. The reason for this could be her shocking the people looking bulkier than ever when she appeared at President Obama’s inaguration ceremony.
She is reported to have admitted to Mirror of her feeling obese and the embarassment it brings along with it. At the same time, it appears that she had insisted that she was determined to change.
But why should she stop yo-yo dieting to acheive this? According to Nutritionist Carrina Norris, it is because that it is a habit hard to break. She and women like Oprah get stuck in cycles of feeling good at one moment foregoing the treat but replapse back at the very next indulging in bingering. Even without their realization, they retrun to their original weight or even heavier. When others point out, they become conscious and start back again furiously but only to stop and the pattern gets repeated.
In the above scenario, given the fact that she went off and on into dieting during the late eighties and nineties, one has to take the statement of the 54 year old queen with a pinch of salt.
In any case, if you belong to this category and would try to follow this method, we wish you good luck.
