Bill Clinton: Texas and Ohio Are ‘Must Win’ For Hillary

US Democratic hopeful and co-frontrunner Senator Hillary Clinton of New York has been handed ten straight losses at the hands of fellow US Democratic hopeful and co-frontrunner Senator Barack Obama of Illinois. Hillary’s husband, former US President Bill Clinton was campaigning for her in preparation for the March 4th contests in Texas and Ohio.

Bill Clinton gave the realistic scenario that Texas or Ohio could sustain or kill Hillary’s candidacy.

This whole nominating process has come down to Texas and Ohio,” Bill Clinton had said. He added: “If she wins in Texas and in Ohio, she will win in Pennsylvania and I believe she will win the nomination.” Recently, Obama had taken victories in Wisconsin and Hawaii from Clinton. It was anticipated that Clinton would win in Wisconsin.

In Wisconsin, Hillary Clinton’s campaign launched a pamphlet attacking Barack Obama’s healthcare plan. It had said that the healthcare plan was not universal. The non-partisan group known as Factcheck.org supports Clinton’s claim.

Currently, early voting had started in Texas. Bill Clinton would address a crowd of a few hundred people in the parking lot of the county courthouse where early voting was taking place.

“If you want the fact, not the feeling, if you want the solution, not the speech, you have a clear choice,” Clinton said. He would compare the styles of his wife and her opponent in the Democratic race, Barack Obama.

Bill Clinton would talk about his wife’s record of success. Hillary was campaigning along the Texas-Mexico border where there is a high concentration of Latino voters. So far, Hillary Clinton has still remained strong with the Latino voting bloc. However, one obstacle Hillary Clinton will face would be the delegate rules set by Texas’ Democratic Party.

The delegate rules could possibly hinder Hillary’s campaign.
