It is reported that doctors based in Los Angeles have developed a chemical which could throw immense light into the Alzheimer disease and provide a new and simpler way to test for treatment.
At present the only way to diagnose the prevalence of this devastating ailment is through the removal of brain tissues or an autopsy. This may change with the identifying of a new chemical coded as ‘FDDNP’. The chemical attachés to the abnormal clumps of proteins called ‘amyloid plaques’ and ‘tau tangles’ which develops in Alzheimer’s sufferars and inhibits messages being processed by the brain.
The study by the Doctors at the University of California once enlarges into advanced research may come in as a blessing in disguise for the victims of this ailment which not only inflicts pain on them but also to the near and dear ones of those suffering.
