Suspecting them to be practising witchcraft, the hands and legs of a couple were chopped off by their relatives and villagers at Jangampalli village of Biknoor mandal late on Friday late night.
The couple was identified as Kalini Bhumaiah (50) and his wife Laxmi (45).
According to the police, about 10 persons attacked the couple with chilli powder and weapons when the two were asleep outside their house.
The miscreants chopped the left hand and leg of Bhumaiah and right hand and leg of Laxmi.
The victims were shifted to Hyderabad for treatment. Two of the accused, Bandali Ravi and Bandali Bhumaiah, surrendered before Biknoor police later.
