Daughter of the soil to be Mayor of South Delhi MC:BJP

Jammu, April 28 (Scoop News) – Jammu and Kashmir Prabhari Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, while declaring that Savita Gupta from Jammu will head South Delhi Municipal Corporation as its Mayor, said that we were charged of deviating from the local issues and raising national issues in the recently held elections of Delhi Municipal Corporation.

Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, who was the chief guest, along with State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, former Presidents Daya Krishan Kotwal and Ashok Khajuria inaugurated the 2-day State Working Committee Meet at Nagbani on Saturday by lighting the traditional lamp and garlanding the portraits of BJP ideologues and Bharat Mata.

Prof. Jagdish Mukhi said that the all time high corruption and sky-rocketing prices may be not of any concern for the Congress and other political parties but for BJP these are the two important issues. Be it corruption or price rise, day to day life of a common citizen is effecting and the BJP stands with a common citizen in his woes. He said that the Congress has only one motive and that is to grab the power on hollow slogans, mislead the masses and later work for the rich people. Congress ka haath, Gareeb ke saath—slogan will not now work and the same is clear from the last assembly elections in few states and just concluded DMC elections.

In the working committee, which is being attended by over 140 delegates from all over the state, district wise reporting on certain subjects were given by respective district presidents. A draft resolution exclusively on Gilgit-Baltistan presented by Dr. Jitendra Singh was also take up for discussions.

State President Shamsher Singh Manhas in his presidential address emphasized on holding the working committee meets at certain intervals and said that it also gives an opportunity to get the accurate feedback on working in different parts of the state. He said that our party activists has very special role in a state like Jammu & Kashmir and our committed and selfless cadre is offering services  to the mother India. Sacrifices made by our elders from time to time themselves speak the concern for nation and its interests in the state. He said that we are different from other parties in many ways. Although we are a political party but winning seats and forming government is not the only agenda. For us in J&K, where we considered this border state as crown of our mother land, our first and the most important mission is to ensure full integration of the state with the rest of the country as well as ensuring the honour of dignity of Bharat Mata.
