Does People Know When It’s God Speaking?

People it’s my belief that God speaks to his people through the Holy Spirit and through his word; and when people communicate with him through constant connections with his word they’ll receive actions and guidance from God.

God has spoken to others on numerous occasions as he revealed himself audibly to Adam and Eve in the Holy Bible, King James Version, and in the Old Testament in Genesis 3; and to Noah in Genesis 6: 13 – 21; and to Abraham in Genesis 12: 1 – 3; and yes, God can also speak audibly to people today if he elects.

God tells people in the Bible, the Old Testament and in Psalms 19: 1 -3, “The Heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handy-work; day unto day utters speech, and night unto night shows knowledge; and there is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.”

It’s my belief God’s word and Holy Spirit directs people via the means of their inner soul’s by nudging them as a warning when they’re about to make a mistake or go off course. Haven’t you ever started to do something and there’s a little voice inside nagging you to take a different route or not to buy an article that you’ve thought about buying, it’s my belief this is God speaking to them in his omnificent way because he knows the mapped paths for people’s life and he doesn’t want them to miss their mark?

It’s my belief when the Holy Spirit lives within the soul, God can speak in many ways to them and through other people to guide them in their right path he has chosen for them. It may not be in an audible voice but his Holy Spirit speaks to them through his Spirit. It tells us in the Bible in the New Testament and in Timothy 3: 16 – 17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; and that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

In the Bible in the New Testament and in Second Peter 1: 20 – 21 it tells people, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation; for the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

It’s my belief this “inner voice” is coming straight from God via the means I’ve already described in the above paragraphs.

Not only does God speak through his word and the Holy Spirit to people, he communicates to people in various different other ways. The Bible tells us in the Old Testament and in Proverbs 16: 33, “The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord;” and in the Old Testament and in Exodus 28: 30, “An thou shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummin; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goes in before the Lord: and Aaron will bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the Lord continually;” and in the Old Testament and in Genesis 20:3 through dreams; and in the Old Testament and in Isaiah 6:1 through visions; and in the Old Testament and in Daniel 9: 20 – 21 by angels; and in the Old Testament and in Micah 6: 5 through prophets, events; and in the New Testament and in John 1: 14 through Jesus.

God tells people in the Bible that he speaks to people; and what he communicates to his people will be consistent with what he has revealed in his word. God is not going to convey anything to his people to contradict the perfect revelations he has already provided and given to them.

Many times in my walk with Christ other Christians have gotten involved in my life to encourage me to pursue whatever God’s leading me to do; and when this has happened to me I’m in awe that an outsider encouraged me to make the right decision…this led me to “know” God was giving me the answer through another person. In the Bible and in the New Testament and in Romans 12: 8 it tells people, “Or he that exhorts, on exhortation: he that gives, let him do it with simplicity; he that rules, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.”

Christians must be reminded there are a lot of “false prophets” who will speak in God’s name as the Bible tells people in the New Testament and in Peter 2:1 and Christians must pay attention to God’s word and according to his teachings.
