You have recently come across a post on Ground Report that explained we are shutting down the site. The previous organization had done a phenomenal job of keeping this site running for many years and they simply no longer had the time and money devoted to making this site what it should be. As a long time reader of Ground Report, I figured I would give it a shot and put a bid in for this web property in hopes that I could purchase it and keep it running. Fortunately, they contacted me immediately before they were ready to shut down and agreed to my proposal.
Many you loyal readers may already notice some of the changes we have made over here thanks to my awesome tech people over at Nuts and Bolts Media. Expect more changes to come as I continue to revamp and organize the site and content. This site started as a news outlet from from amateur writers on the ground, experiences firsthand, that were swiftly communicated in an intelligent and informative manner. Over the past year many of these contributors abused their privileges and began posting spammy links for a few bucks while not sharing in their profits with the organization that struggled to keep this site afloat.
Going forward, you will see content that is more relevant and of higher quality. We want to bring a loyal readership back to this site!
I have quickly disabled the contributor section of this site so that I can properly vet all potential writers and contributors to this site.
