Implisit Users Dropped by Salesforce Turn to Match My Email for Salesforce Email Integration

Salesforce.com acquired Implisit this month for “tens of millions of dollars” and then shut down Implisit. Implisit’s customers were told from one day to the next that the Implisit email rating solution was being discontinued as a stand-alone app and being folded into Salesforce’s mainstream platform as a new module. An availability date for the Implisit module in Salesforce was not announced – perhaps it is the basis of the much hyped Einstein technology to be announced at Dreamforce — and to date, Salesforce was not provided Implisit users with a bridge to the future.

Salesforce.com’s acquisition of Implisit has left Implisit users without automated Salesforce email integration

Salesforce stated that it acquired Implisit for its artificial intelligence software which can analyze emails for “deal value” or “deal promise” and focus sales reps on the deals that are the most likely to close. Such a promise has been made many times before, including by IBM Watson, but to date there is little evidence that such AI systems really work at a price that makes economic sense.

My sources at Match My Email tell me that Implisit customers have been moving to the Salesforce app vendor to solve their email integration requirements. They are attracted to Match My Email because it offers fully automated email syncing and logging just like Implisit. In addition, Match My Email can auto log old emails into Salesforce records so the emails stranded by the Implisit shutdown can be reprocessed and uploaded into the right Salesforce with a few clicks.

Match My Email has been offered on the AppExchange for almost five years so it is seasoned app with at 4.9 out of 5.0 rating and excellent reviews. The app is Lightning Ready, Salesforce1 Ready and Classic Ready. It works with all Salesforce Editions, except SalesforceIQ which does not offer an open API. Match My Email is cloud technology based on the IMAP standard and can sync email for Outlook, Exchange, Gmail, Google Apps, MacMail, GoDaddy, Rackspace, Intermedia and 40+ other IMAP compatible email systems.
