Jesus Commands Us To Receive Communion In A Certain Way

Jesus Holy Communion Command, Why I’m Righteously Upset? Jesus would never approve my getting angry, but He would understand and approve "Righteous Anger".

LUKE:22:19-20

"And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave it unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in rememberance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This is the new testament in my blood which is shed for you."

JOHN:6:53-54

"Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whosoever eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."

MATTHEW: 21: 12-13 We can all remember the story related in the Bible when Jesus entered the Temple in Jerusalem and turned the place upside down. This was a demonstration of what Christians refer to as "Righteous Anger".

I too have "Righteous Anger".

I am angry with myself for not standing up to the various, priests, pastors, and ministers about something that I know is scripturally incorrect and not trying harder to get it corrected.

More importantly, I am "Righteously Angered" with those priests, pastors, and ministers who are deliberately breaking a Scriptural Command, commanded by Jesus Christ and doing so to try and save money and time during Sunday Service.

What I am "Righteously Angered" about, is the fact that in many Catholic Churches, as well as many of the other denominational churches, at the Celebration of Communion or The Lord’s Supper, the ministers try to sneak one by us by only serving the "Bread" The Body of Christ, in the form of some little waifer and holding back and not serving the wine too as Jesus Commanded.

I have questioned this ritual with many priests, pastors and ministers, expressing my concern that the church is deliberately not keeping within Scripture, by with-holding the blood of Christ from the Cerimonial Celebration, only to get two totally lame excuses that "There is blood in the flesh", And that it is not financially feasible or responsible, to spend money on wine.

Now how lame is that. If only receiving Jesus flesh fulfilled our obligation, Jesus would have told us to only partake of his flesh.

If Jesus only wanted people to partake of His flesh, He would have said so, but that is not what he says.

Tongue in cheek speaking, I suppose it is OK to steal from God. In MATTHEW: 22: 21; Jesus tells the pharisees to "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and unto God the things that are God’s." BUT it is OK I guess to short-change God on what is His. "WRONG!"

JOHN: 6: 53-54; is quite explicit. "Except ye eat of the flesh of the Son of man, AND, drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whosoever eateth my flesh AND, drinketh my blood hath eternal life."

As I said, I have questioned many a priest, pastor, and minister, with reguards to this flagrant refusal to follow scripture, especially during Communion at Sunday Service, but mere commenting in the form of a complaint falls on deaf ears. I am just excused as some complainer. Maybe I will have to protest stronger, until such time as the church corrects this grievous scriptural error.

For the meantime I am righteously angry with myself for not trying as hard as necessary to bring around the proper and necessary change and make thing right in my eyes but especially in God’s eyes.

I am a choir member in two different churches so I am trying for scriptural change in two churches. If the church you attend, is not following the scripture in their policy by serving both the body and the blood of Jesus at communion or the Lord’s Supper, I urge you to do the Christian thing and speak up to those responsible to try for change. Whether it is communion or some other church policy that is not scripturally correct, as a Christian, you have an obligation to yourself and to God, to try and correct it and not settle for some flimsy excuse or answer, but get it fixed.
