Kashmir Chief directs all DCs to settle land acquisition cases early

 Srinagar,February 15 (Scoop News) –Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today directed all the Deputy Commissioners to settle the land acquisition cases early and ensure disbursement to the land owners. They were also directed to ensure submission of Utilisation certificates to PMGSY and conduction of Joint inspection in respect of roads passing in Forest areas.

 

 

Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon held a Video Conference with Deputy Commissioners of Srinagar, Budgam, Anantnag, Baramulla, Kupwara, Pulwama, Ganderbal and Chief Engineer PMGSY Kashmir and discussed land acquisition cases of PMGSY.

 

            He was informed that in Budgam district 28 road projects have been taken up under Phase 6 and 13 road projects under Phase 7. Out of these 13 new road projects notification under Section 4 has been issued for 8 road projects and 5 cases would be settled within two weeks. Out of Rs 28.26 Crore released an amount of Rs 19.38 Crores has been spent.

            In Pulwama 49 road projects have been taken up in Phase 7 against a cost of Rs 10.51 Crore against which Rs 5.93 Crore have been disbursed to the land owners while in Anantnag district 52 road projects have been taken up under Phase 7 against which funds to the tune of Rs. 34.80 crore have been released and out of this Rs 10 Crore have been disbursed among the land owners.

            Notification under Section 4 has been issued for 14 road projects and utilisation certificates submitted.

          The Divisional Commissioner was further informed that in Baramulla district out of 11 road projects under Phase 7, Rs 6.85 Crore has been disbursed to the land owners while in Kupwara district 33 road works under Phase 6 and 22 road works have been taken up under Phase 7. Rs 5.5 Crore have disbursed against the allotment of Rs 12 Crore.
