Para military forces and Chitral police raid on Mian Mukhtiar narcotics sale point.

CHITRAL: Paramilitary forces under supervision of Commandant Chitral Scouts Col Nasir Khan Jadoon and Chitral police under auspices of District Police Officer Abdul Rashid raided on Mian Mukhtiar Ada (Narcotics sale point) at Peer street Chitral. Deputy Quarter Master of Chitral Scouts Major Kazmi and other officers were also present on the occasion. Earlier that Chitral scouts had raided on another narcotics (Hashish) sale point of Mian Mukhtiar at Goldor street on several complaints of public. In today raid a large number of Chitral scouts and police were present during searching at Mian Mukhtiar Ada. Hence it was learned that Mian Mukhtiar had already informed by his sources yesterday and he had shifted consignment (Hashish) to another safe place an officer told this scribe. Talking to this scribe an official of secret agencies on the condition of anonymity said that we received a number of complaints from public for raiding on Mian Mukhtiar sale point who involved in notorious business of selling Hashish and narcotics. But unfortunately he was informed by his sources existing in law enforcement agencies and he shifted his consignment to some other safe place and Mian Mukhtiar was also not arrested. People of Chitral highly appreciated Chitral Scouts efforts because local people extremely frustrated from local police in eradicating drugs. Social and political circle of Chitral thanked to Commandant Chitral scouts and appeal for continuing his raid on drugs sale points of Mian Mukhtiar to discourage and compelled him to abandoned this notorious business because young generation of Chitral badly affecting from drug addicting. It is worth to mention here that Mian Mukhtiar Gul is famous for selling Hashish in whole Chitral and was also arrested by district administration under 16 MPO earlier but his business is still continue despite that his sale point is situated at a distance of 100 Meters from police station Chitral.
