We know that the total number of computer viruses have increased to more than one million as reported by a reputed internet security centre.
A latest report by an internet security firm Sophos says that its filters were detecting one infected website every five seconds.
Last year, the filters were detecting one malware-affected website every fourteen seconds.
The number of infected websites has grown to alarming proportions in the first quarters of 2008.This is an indication of the widespread activity of cyber criminals.Most of the infected websites have been detected, in the United States, China and Russia.
Despite anti-spam efforts, around 92 % of all E-Mails still consist of spam, says the Sophos Report.
