Jammu, December 01, (Scoop News)- Law-enforcement agencies have arranged foolproof security for Bharatiya Janata Party’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narinder Modi’s ‘Lalkar rally’ today at Moulana Azad Stadium, in Jammu.. Law-enforcement agencies have checked all the routes from where the Modi will pass.
Gujarat police has already camped in the Jammu district and is holding advance security liaison drills with its counterparts in Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and other concerned agencies. Sniffer dogs besides metal detectors were used to sanitize the venue.
Police sources said that 400 CCTVs were installed in and around the stadium to monitor the situation and to watch the movement of suspicious elements during the rally
Some suspects have also been rounded up by the police from different parts of Jammu city and its outskirts.
More than 4000 CRPF and police personnel and 1000 plainclothesmen have been deployed for security of the rally venue and other places across the City and outskirts. The police and CRPF personnel have taken positions atop houses around the MA Stadium.
The traffic restrictions have also been imposed by the authorities for smooth conduct of rally..Main Tawi bridge and Fly Over will be closed for traffic from early tomorrow morning. Vehicle movement would be allowed only on Gujjar Nagar Tawi bridge and newly constructed Bhagwati Nagar Tawi bridge till the rally was over and the vehicles carrying the rallyists return from the parking slots. The Bus Stand has been vacated from all vehicles and visitors.
