Human Rights thanked district administration for reforming in wheat warehouse.
CHITRAL: President Legal Aid Forum for Human Rights (LAFH) Abdul Nasir thanked District Coordination Officer (DCO) Chitral Rahmatullah Wazir, District Police Officer Muhammad Jaafar Khan who arranged for surprise visit of Wheat godown (Grain warehouse) Danin on the complaints of public. DCO Chitral also took some sample of wheat for laboratory check and took in posses its measuring scale. (Tarazo). Abdul Nasir said that a number of complaints also received to this secretariat regarding substandard quality of wheat in government wheat warehouse. He said that consumers also complaint that weights of per bag wheat is also not full and they selling less weight of wheat. He said that if the district administration continue this trend of check and balance he hoped that all other deficiency and short falling would also be settled.
Musharraf hints at entering politics
CHITRA: Former President General Pervez Musharraf has shown keenness to enter politics and his colleague Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has registered the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) for the same purpose says a news report.
General Musharraf came to power through a Military coup in 1999 on the pretext that things were not right in
General Musharraf though may have failed on the national and international fronts, but in Chitral he is considered a hero who dug the Lowari Tunnel for Chitralis. People who pass through the tunnel these winters involuntarily raise their hands in prayers for him.
Pervez Musharraf though is popular in the whole of Chitral district, is particularly popular in the Mastuj sub division for promptly ordering construction of the Shandur road, Mastuj bridge and other projects which would have never been possible through normal process. A number of voters/people said that we like Parvez Musharaf and if he contested election from this district he will take 100% votes because of his developmental network for Chitral like establishment of utility stores, remitting of agriculture loans, construction of roads and bridges etc.
‘Loaners’ happy with PM announcement
CHITRAL: Prime Ministers revised economic package for NWFP envisages the write off of loans including micro finance loans in four districts including Chitral. People having taken loans are happy, particularly those who had loans from Micro Finance bank but were first disappointed when they were not included in the reform package.
