In his address, Khanna said that the declaration of Narendra Modi as Prime Ministerial candidate by BJP high command has received overwhelming response from every segment of the society and every corner of the country. There is enthusiasm and jubiliation in the entire country as his nomination has provided a ray of hope to the common masses in the deluge of scams and mis-governance of Congress. The despondency in the youth has been replaced by hope and expectations. Today every Indian wants to get rid of corrupt Congress and see Modi as the next Prime Minister. The Congress leadership has realized that their days of its rule are numbered and are having sleepless nights.
Khanna said that during his tour of Sunderbani, Nowshera and Rajouri, he has been informed that the people here are facing discrimination at the hands of the government and even basic amenities of modern times do not reach them. They don’t get electricity, drinking water, adequate health-care and elementary educational facilities. Favouritism, nepotism and corruption are the hallmarks of this Congress-NC coalition government and the same has scaled new heights. Youth, farmers, refugees, landless labourers etc. are suffering great deprivation and hopelessness without any empathy from the government.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, said that the party in the state is continuously agitating to invite the attention of the defunct and sleeping government towards the denial of benefits of various schemes like IAY, BPL, widow pension etc. the problems of border people, pensioners, ex-servicemen. He drew the attention of the people towards the Congress-NC elected representatives from Jammu region who, for their personal benefits, always compromise the interest of Jammu with the Kashmir-centric political leadership. He cited the example of the fate of victims of the recent communal riots in Kishtwar who have not till date received any help from the insensitive government. Elsewhere in the valley for any loss of damage suffered, the government does not dither and doles out state largesse’s even if there is no such demand from the public.
