PTI Stressed on restoration of Kalash constitutional rights.

CHITRAL: Leaders of Pakistan Tahreeki Insaf (PTI) urged on government for restoration of constitutional and legal rights of Kalash community. Addressing a press conference Abdul Latif president of PTI, Muhammad Israr general Secretary, Haji Muhammad Sultan and Razitu Billah said that Kalash community are the only tribe of world who were declared indigenous people by united nation. Having unique culture Kalsh are famous in the world for their culture, language, customary and living matters but unfortunately they were not given their real status. They said that there is no column in registration form of NADRA for Kalash but Hindus, Sikh, Christians and other minority have been mentioned there. As well s they were deprived from their constitutional rights by former president Parvez Musharaf in 2001 when he violated constitution of 1973 as a result Kalash community can not participated in election as minority candidate. They said that PTI chief Imran Khan had committed for giving party ticket for PK 89 to Wazir Zada Kalash but due to some reasons we could not success for his nomination in provincial assembly. They demanded for separation of Kalash religious by government and they should be nominated for provincial and federal assembly through special legislation. They assured that if PTI success in coming election as ruling party they must will support for nominating their candidates on provincial and national assembly seats as minority candidate. Responding to a question they said that although Kalash community have boycott from election but they will try of their best to persuade them and to convince them to cast their vote in upcoming election.
