Peshawar: Baitullah Mehsud, the central leader of the Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan, talking to Geo News, again denied any involvement in the murder of the popular Pakistani leader Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto.
Talking from an undisclosed place, he said that his militants get the Pakistani ambassador Tariq Azizuddin freed who, according to him, was abducted by another militant group in the area.
The militant leader said that he was talking with the government of Pakistan to pen a peace deal and made it clear that his men will never stop cross border attacks in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, three people killed and a number others wounded in fresh violence across Pakistan.
According to official statement, some unknown armed men gunned down the Deputy President of Muslim League (Nawaz Sharif) Tariq Khan in Karachi. Police said that violence erupted in the city after the incident and most of its markets closed.
In Peshawar, an explosion in Nasir Bagha area killed SHO Khaista Khan and his driver and wounded to of SHO’s gunmen. The nature of the explosion was unknown immediately.
UPDATE: Another explosion killed one member of an extremist group in Khyber Agency tribal area and wounded two others, told local officials.
