Linda Richardson, author of How Well Are We Playing This Game Called Life: What We Are Not being Told About Our Birthright From A Universal, Scientific, And Individual Perspective said she first thought about writing a book back in 2000 after reading the trilogy Conversation with God by Neale Walsh. "After reading these books several times I had an epiphany about our life and the way we are living it in “this game called life.” From that point on, I started visualizing how we could play a better game called life" she said.
Richardson said she had a greater purpose in mind related to her personal self-growth and that of others. " I decided to first seek out a greater understanding of self, and you know that intuition that is forever giving us assistance in all our affairs. As I grew in my understanding of self, I grew in my understanding of this game called life. Then, I simply listened to my intuition," she said.
She said her interactions with people she knew, mobilized her to recognize the importance of writing a book, and encouraged her creativity along the way. " The premise of my book is how we are unconscious of who we are, and I mean based on our birthright, our real life. We tend to go about living this life based on social conditioning, not realizing the power that we have at our disposal. How this power can change our circumstances if we only understand who we really are in this game called life, " she said.
Richardson said so far she has not experienced the normal anxieties that go along with writing a book, and maintains an optimistic outlook, as she embraces the outcomes. "There are really no issues in relation to me writing this book. I took great joy in the research because during the process ,I discovered greater knowledge, wisdom and power of my real life, my inherent life. As far as promoting my book, I’m honestly sitting back and observing everything that I’ve discussed in my book, play out. I created this book for the purpose of doing great things for the world…it shall do what it supposed to do," she said.
Apart from her life as a writer, Richardson is an entrepreneur and launched a business in June 2009. RiMaLi Inc. RiMali means The Gift of Life and the company has several subsidiary functions. First, as an online school– School of First Thought that offers general guidance, and counseling techniques for personal growth and development. Secondly, I created a new form of therapy; I’m using the techniques to design therapeutic electronic video games that will assist people with health issues. Thirdly, I have created an independent subsidiary -RiMaLi Creative Images- Small Business to the World, whereby I will offer independent assistance to creative small businesses that wish to contribute something to the world," she said.
Her charitable endeavors do not end there, she is also involved in a fundraising project. "And, along with my book, I started a Stimulating the World Fund, whereby I will pledge two dollars of every purchase to charities around the world. I’m offering an online book lotto that is a permanent part of my website: www.thegamecalledlife.com ," she said.
